Sectors
Sectors and capabilities.
The work, by commodity, geography, and depth of involvement.
Auctus Agri is a generalist agribusiness practice. The generalist positioning is deliberate — most African agricultural problems sit at the intersection of agronomy, trade compliance, finance, and policy, and clients are best served by an advisor who can move between those domains rather than one who specialises in only one. But generalism is not the same as omnicompetence. The matrices below show, honestly, where the firm has lead experience, where the experience is direct but supporting, and where the firm is familiar enough to scope a project but would resource specialist depth from the associates network.
Three filters: commodity and value chain, geography, and engagement type. A capability that does not appear in the matrix below has not been worked at depth and would not be undertaken without specialist support.
Lead Direct, multi-year operational or advisory experience.
Direct Substantive engagement, typically through a specific project or contract.
Familiar Scoping-level competence; deeper engagements resourced through the associates network.

What the matrix does not show
The edges, named.
The matrix is calibrated honestly, which means it also marks the firm's edges. Auctus Agri does not undertake forestry-sector engagements, livestock auction-market work, or veterinary epidemiology — those are different professions and there are better firms for them. The cannabis work is restricted to cultivation, licensing pathways, and export-market analysis; the firm does not advise on retail dispensary operations or downstream brand development. Asian destination-market work is analytical rather than relationship-led; physical-market access projects in China, India, or Vietnam would be resourced through specialist partners.
Where the matrix shows Lead or Direct, the firm is comfortable taking the engagement on its own. Where it shows Familiar, the firm will take the scoping conversation, will be candid about depth, and will resource specialist expertise from the associates network with a named individual identified in the proposal.
