Who we are
This website is operated by J MAMBO CORPORATION (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2021/912891/07), trading as Auctus Agri, a South African company with its registered office at 25 Burt Drive, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth 6055, Eastern Cape, South Africa. For any privacy matter, contact info@auctusagri.com.
We process personal information in accordance with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), and — where our processing concerns individuals in the European Union or United Kingdom — with the GDPR and UK GDPR respectively.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us. The site's forms — the EU–SADC Export Readiness Checklist download, the contact form, the monthly Augere subscription, and the article PDF download — ask for some combination of your name, email address, organisation, country, occupation, and the content of your enquiry. We do not collect special-category personal information and we ask you not to include any in a form submission.
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and capacity management.
What we use it for
Form submissions are used for the purpose stated at the point of collection: to send you the document you requested, to respond to your enquiry, or to deliver the monthly insights note you subscribed to. If you download a gated document, we may send one follow-up email. The monthly note goes out once and only once each month; unsubscribe is one click and takes immediate effect.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use reputable processors (form handling, email delivery, analytics) under agreements consistent with POPIA's operator provisions.
Retention
We keep contact records for as long as there is an active relationship or a legitimate prospect of one, and in any event review stored records annually. You may ask us at any time to correct or delete your information.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za. To exercise any of these rights, email info@auctusagri.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and we will respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within the periods POPIA prescribes.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no advertising cookies. Basic, privacy-respecting analytics may be used to understand aggregate readership; where analytics requiring consent are introduced, a consent notice will appear before anything is set.
External services
Web fonts are served by Google Fonts. Article PDFs are generated in your browser; the PDF library is served from the cdnjs content delivery network. Photography is served from Unsplash. Scheduling and form-processing providers, where embedded, present their own privacy terms at the point of use.
Changes
We will post any material change to this policy on this page with an updated review date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
